Day 30 19 June from O'Cebreirio to Triacastella about 21 Km

Finally we're on our way from OCebreirio after coffee and getting into two layers of warm clothing plus wind jackets... It's freezing..Rob even has his beanie on under the helmet....

We stayed at Carols place.. In the background you can see early morning mists ...the hills look like floating islands..

Floating islands...

I may be smiling, but it's because I found my gloves. I have on a fleece, my grey icebreaker woolen jacket plus windbreaker... Rob has a beanie on under his helmet...

The Camino sign as we head toward the road.  We're going to stick to the road as we have been advised it's safer... Very steep descent a bit later...

Spectacular scenery- we drink this in every few minutes, stopping to stare ..much more cultivation..

Haha.. we're taking a photo of each other..

We climb to the high point of Galicia where there is a beautiful statue of St James..

Magnificent views..

Look at the detail...

The peregrinos walk alongside the road for quite a bit of the way..

We ride into a village called Fonfria and past a workshop where an old man crafts sticks... Many peregrinos buy sticks along the way... I would too if I could carry it...

The sticks before he crafts them....

We ride to this church.. Beautiful wall.....

Simple and beautiful church..

Late breakfast stop at Alto de Poio

My breakfast..

And Robs...

Archie checking out this wolf dog...lots of dogs in this area that have wolf blood...

Peregrinos leaving after breakfast...

137.5 km to Santiago....

We're on our way down hill , a 7percent gradient... So we stop and pull off to the side of the road after a couple if km to let our brake rims cool down..,

And then we get to Triacastella, Three  Castles but none exist anymore..!

We find a Casa , park our bikes to ask if they have room..and they do...

Our bedroom...

Beautiful church dedicated to St James,,, white statue is of St James..,

I go to mass and take a photo close up...because I am sitting behind the priest.. The church is dedicated to St James

The pilgrims blessing...which I read... And again, pilgrims from each language read  a scripture...

Main Street of Triacastella..

We have supper/ menu del  dia here...
